Tony Awards 2009 Results

The Tony Awards were held on 7th June, 2009.

Here are our predictions for the Tony Awards, 2009:

The winner of the “best play” category is the very deserving ‘Moises Kaufman’ for ‘33 variations’. Next comes the best Musical Category with a clear winner with ‘Shrek The Musical’. Even the best original score for a theater went to ‘Shrek The Musical’.
For the Acting bunch of Awards, Best Actor in a Play went to the marvel ‘Geoffrey Rush’ for ‘Exit the King’. The Award for The Best Actress in a play went to the gracious ‘Hope Davis’ for ‘God of Carnage’. Then for the Best Actor in a Musical went to ‘David Alvarez, Trent Kowalik, and Kiril Kulish’ for ‘Billy Elliot, The Musical’. For the Best Actress in a musical the clear winner was ‘Josephina Scaglione’ for West Side Story.

The best direction musical winner was ‘Stephen Daldry’ for ‘Billy Eliot, The Musical’, while that of direction play winner was ‘Phyllida Lloyd’ For ‘Mary Stuart’.
