The 2008 world team table tennis championships took place between February 24 and March 2, 2008 in Guangzhou, China.
China not only hosted the games but had also tried to defend her title for the last year’s table tennis championships.
After a close match between Korea and China the winner of the 2008 world team table tennis championships was announced - China once again. Wang Liqin was the best player in the Chinese team and in the all championships.
