Spanish Grand Prix 2008 Winner

The Spanish Grand Prix ran in Barcelona, Spain on 27 April 2008. Formula One prediction: the winner of Spanish Grand Prix 2008 was Fernando Alonso.

Considered a long-shot before the race, Spaniard Alonso brought home a daring, come-from-behind win at the event, much to the delight of thrilled spectators. Before the race, the Renault racing team determined to deliver a faster car for their two-time world champion Formula One driver, and they made good on that promise.

Alsonso achieved his triumphant homecoming victory, running the 307 km race (almost 191 miles) in just under 1 hour and 30 minutes. Heikki Kovalainen, racing for McLaren, took second place, crossing the finish line 8.790 seconds later. Felipe Massa with Ferrari followed in third place, trailing the winner by 15.230 seconds.
