The annual Festival of San Fermin, popularly called the Running of the Bulls, took place in Pamplona, Spain the week of 6 July to 14 July 2008.
Each morning at 8:00 a.m., residents and tourists participated in “el encierro,” the running of the bulls through the narrow streets of the old town to the Plaza del Toros. This year, very few people were injured in the running of the bulls, and no one was killed. Event prediction: the 2008 Pamplona Running of the Bulls resulted in few injuries and no fatalities.
Each year, thousands of participants turn out to run with the bulls. Dressed in white and sporting a red neck scarf and waistband, they do their best to stay away from the sharp horns and thundering hooves of the animals. And each year, a few are not successful in their attempts.
So it be? Maybe . . .
