The 61st Emmy Primetime Awards were announced on September 20, 2009. The Emmy primetime show was hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. The Emmy being the most prestigious television award night was star studded with nominees.

Here are our predictions for the 2009 Emmy Primetime Award winners:

Taking the bunch of the comedy series, the outstanding lead actor winner was Alec Baldwin for 30 Rock. The lead actress winner in comedy series was Tina Fey for 30 Rock. The most outstanding comedy series winner was again 30 Rock with the rocking last season. Moving to the drama series bunch of awards, the outstanding lead actor was Bryan Cranston for Breaking Bad. The lead actress in drama series winner was Sally Field for Brother and Sisters. The outstanding Drama series winner was Mad Men.

The Miss World Australia 2009 Winner was announced on 22nd July 2009 at Star City Ballroom, Pyrmont, NSW. The Miss Australia 2009 event was hosted by Tom Burlinson and featured performance of Wes Car. Out of the 20 beautiful contestant, one deserving girl was crowned Miss World Australia 2009 who would represent Australia in the prestigious Miss World Pageant 2009 to be held in December.

The Miss World Australia 2009 Winner is Sophie Lavers. Sophie Lavers perfectly fitted into the mould of Beauty with purpose. Sophie Lavers has taken training in Acting and aspires to make career in film, television, theatre and opera. Other popular contestants very close to the crown were Erin Stanfield who was the first runner-up and TJ who was the second runner-up.

The 2009 Major League Baseball All-Star Game result was announced on 14th July 2009. The All-star game was the 80th midseason played between the players of the National League and the American League at Busch Stadium, St Louis, Missouri. The game determined the home field advantage in the 2009 Major League Baseball World Series.

The American League is the winner of the 2009 Major League Baseball All-Star Game. With this year’s win the American League has won all the games, seven times in a row played under this format. With the American League winning yet again, it gives them the home field advantage as always.

The Miss England 2009 Winners were announced on 20th July, 2009 at London Hilton Metropole Hotel in London. About 54 contestants had reached the finals. These contestants represented different parts of U.K. and had also holding various sub-titles for 2009. The winner was crowned on Monday 20th July to represent England in the next Miss World final.

The winner of Miss England 2009 is Ezanne Redelinghuys. The top runners-up gave some tough competition to Ezanne Redelinghuys but the 20 year old was given the top spot by the panel of judges. Ezanne is a second year student of Psychology at the University of Kent. Other very close contestants to win the title were Yasmin Pearce, Alexandra Williams and Rachael Cooper.

Google had launched its operation system on July, 2010.

currently it runs only on notebooks based on the Google Chrome browser. As anticipated Microsoft has announced an open sourced version of its operating system, Windows, currently for notebooks only.

Our prediction for the Google Chrome OS review : Google chrome OS is a rather thin operating system and it lacks many functionalists that could be found on MS Windows. However, being an open sourced OS, it is anticipated that in the next few months Google Chrome OS will catch up with MS windows and will introduce new revolutionary features. The bottom line is that it seems Google Chrome OS will not be a real threat to Windows 7 in the next couple of years.

The WWE Night of Champions Winners were announced on 26th July, 2009 at Wachovia Centre, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. All the championships were on the line and the WWE superstars of Raw, Smack down, ECW combated. The three major titles were WWE Championship, World Heavy weight Championship and WWE Divas Championship.

The WWE Championship was a triple threat match between Randy Orton, Triple H and John Cena. The winner of WWE Championship is the defending champion Randy Orton who kept his title. Another big match was the World Heavyweight Championship between C M Punk and Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy was the winner of World Heavyweight Championship match up. The winner of WWE Women’s title was Mickie James.

The 2009 Indonesian President Elections results are due to be announced on 27 and 29 July 2009. The Indonesians will decide by voting the 2009 Indonesian President on 8th July, 2009. The president will occupy office for 2009-2014. The fight for the presidential post is between Susilo Bambang Yudhyono, Megawati Sukarnopurti and Jusuf Kalla.

The Indonesian president for 2009 is Susilo Bambang Yudhyono of the Democratic Party. Susilo Bambang Yudhyono faced tough competition as this time Incumbent Vice President Jusuf Kalla Challenged the Incumbent President by fighting the elections from the Golkar party. With Susilo Bambang Yudhyono winning the 2009 elections his running mate Beodiano will be the Vice-president for the same term.

The 2009 Tour de France winner was announced on 26th July in Paris. The 2009 Tour de France started for 4th July running to 26th July 2009. Tour de France is made up of 21 stages and covered the total distance of over 3500 kilometres. The race visited a total of six nations. Lance Armstrong, the seven times winner came out of his retirement and competed in the race. Two high profile players Tom Boonen and Alejandro Valaverde were prohibited from taking part in the race.

The 2009 Tour de France winner is Dennis Menchov. Dennis crossed the finish line first to take high honours in the podium of 2009 Tour de France. Dennis had a tough competition from the 2008 winner Carlos Sastre and Alberto Contador. Lance Armstrong also gave a tough fight to Menchov but the 2009 Giro d’Italia winner beat all.

Bernard Madoff sentence was given today. The 70-year-old Bernard Madoff, well respected in the investment community after serving as chairman of the Nasdaq Stock Market, was arrested on charges of duping number of investors in his ponzi scheme. The investors ranged from pensioners, to super rich, to major financial institutes to charity organisations. He allegedly stole $50 billion and caused tragedy to number of lives. His case is under trial for sentence in the court where he has been charged for 11 criminal counts including money laundering, perjury and securities, mail and wire fraud.

Here are our predictions for the Bernard Madoff Verdict:

Bernard Madoff was found guilty of one of the biggest financial frauds in history. His was given a life sentence by the US court. The court considering the public outcry gave a life sentence to Bernard Madoff. The fraudster had absolutely no chance of getting back home after being the public enemy and spreading financial terror.

The 2009 Wimbledon women’s singles final was played on July 4, 2009 at the Centre Court. The Wimbledon winners were given their titles at Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London. The semi final match was between Dinara Safina and Venus Williams and another semi final was between Elena Dementieva and Serena Williams. The final match was between the winners of the two semi finals who were the William sisters. It was like a repeat match of 2002, 2003 and 2008 where the battle was between the Williams sisters.

The 2009 Wimbledon Women’s single winner is Serena Williams. It was a tough fight between Venus Williams and Serena Williams. Serena was on the roll to win this grand slam after 2003. Her No.2 seed gave her the motivation to conquer Wimbledon. The Wimbledon title remained in the Williams family.
