NASCAR Coke Zero 400 Winner

NASCAR’s Coke Zero 400 ran Saturday, July 5 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Kasey Kahne driving the number 9 car, owned by George Gillette, Jr., avoided a pile-up in the final laps of the race to win the Coke Zero 400. Racing prediction: Kasey Kahne is the winner of the Coke Zero 400.

Kahne’s red Dodge, sponsored by Budweiser, performed almost perfectly throughout the race.

The distance and the date for the first running of the race on the 4th of July in 1959 gave birth to the event’s name as the Firecracker 250; the race increased to 160 laps, the name changed to Firecracker 400. When Pepsi became the race sponsor, the name changed yet again to the Pepsi 400.

So it be? Maybe . . .
