Ms. Powell hopes to use her background in banking to help young people understand the importance of saving for the future.

Miss Universe 2007, Japanese beauty and dance instructor Riyo Mori, crowned the new winner. This year, Miss Universe wore a newly created crown, valued at $120,000.
