Kindle 2 was launched on February 9, 2009. The new Kindle is more user friendly than the first one. There are some changes in the interface, in the buttons and in it’s dimensions (narrower and longer).

Since it’s release in November, 2007 the Kindle - Amazon’s ebook reader device became a best seller and generated an estimated number of 1 Million units although Amazon did not reveal the real numbers.

Jeff Bezos believes the improvements of Kindle 2 will keep it’s advantage over new ebook readers that are going to be launched in the next few months.
