The newest season’s Hell’s Kitchen competition, which premiered Tuesday, April 1, 2008 and aired each Tuesday evening on the Fox television network, named a winner.

Chef Gordon Ramsay hammered away at the original field of 15 chefs until he was able to identify the one with the greatest talent for meeting diners’ expectations.

Culinary student Christina, of St. Louis, Missouri, won Season 4’s Hell’s Kitchen competition. Television cooking prediction: Christina is the winner of Hell’s Kitchen Season 4.

When Chef Ramsay opens his new restaurant, Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood, this season’s winner will assume a position there as senior chef.

So it be? Maybe . . .

  1. Well, I live in St. Louis. They had an interview with Christina on the local news and said how she was sworn to secrecy.
But then they said she was a line chef at a local restaurant.
Does that mean she didn’t win?
    We’ll see very soon

I HAVE LOST ALL RESPECT FOR RAMSAY. CLEARLY P WAS THE BETTER CHEF. ONLY REASON WHY CRISTENA WON WAS BECAUSE HE WAS ATTRACTED TO HER. HE DIDN’T EVEN HIDE IT. ONCE AGAIN IT CAME DOWN TO PHYSICAL ATTRACTION OVER SKILL. I have watched every show and I could see it everytime. To bad that it came down like that.

To bad that it came down like that. I clearly P was the better chef. The only reason why she won was because Ramsay was attracted to her. It is a shame that it came down like that. It was so clear that he was Physically attracted to her. To bad I thouht that Ramsay was above that.

  4. I loved P and wish he would have won, I criedd because he didn’t.We all thought he wa sgoing to take it all. He IS clearly the Chef to have won it. But I can see Ramsey’s side of it. He also was looking for someone for the long haul. P is 47, Cristina 25. How long can P really run this young hip kitchen?

I have no worries about P,someone is going to see the show and grab him. This is one show I hate to see end.

  5. I think the winner was a shock to alot of people. Petrozza was definately the better chef out of the two. He has the experiance, leadership quailties and is open to new idesa and is will to listen to Ramsey. Since P is from North Carolina I have to give him kudos for hanging in there. Everyone could tell he was very disapointed on the outcome. I dont see Christina lasting too long. And what was up with Jen asking for a letter of reccomendation?? She needs to change her attitude if shes going to be working with other chefs.
Congrats to Christina but P should have won. Anyone know the name of the catering company P works for???

  6. Mr. Peters, I hate to stereotype but you sound like a predudiced, sexist male. Omg, attraction? LOL, she was likeable and cute but he said himself, she was the most inexperienced but she had the most potential. P was set in his ways, like being disorganized and a slob, which Ramsey could see would be a big problem. No one ever said that P wasnt a great chef, its just that christina had more promise, enthusiasm and potential. Ramsey made exactly the right choice.

Christina is the most well rounded chef, she kept everything together better that P did. When P ran out of appetizers he kinda stuggled for a minute before Ramsey basically told him what to do, and that was only the final service, P has a lot to learn he is not as quick on his feet as Christina, so that makes her slightly better. I like P and Christina I didn’t really car who won they were both very good, but I think Christina was just a little better.

  8. It is fabulous that Christina won! Having watched her win 9 challenges this season shows that, without a doubt, she was clearly the right choice. Petroza won only one individual challenge which was just last week. And I believe the blue team (Petroza’s team) only won one maybe two team challenges this entire season. The fact Christina CONSISTENTLY “brings it” is just another example of why she won.

As far a Chef Ramsey picking Christina because he was attracted to her? That’s a stupid post made by a closed minded individual. Personally, I viewed each and every episode this season and I saw no indication, whatsoever, that Chef Ramsey was attracted to Christina. It’s Hell’s Kitchen…not a soap opera, dude.

Congrats Chef Christina you DESERVE it Lady!!

  9. I disagree with you… Christina was clearly the best one for the job! P was just a caterer…. nice guy but Christina was the best one for the job…. Chef even saw her potential. Christina won mostly all of the challenges.. P only won one in the end.
    GREAT FOR CHRISTINA… THE WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Robert, You are right that P definitely won the competition! I had no bias and thought P was kind of goofy and not very well refined at to the uppity world of fine cuisine. That being said, he was the better chef and a really nice human being. He WON the finale..who could question that? It was OBVIOUS. However, Ramsay made a point of saying that Christina had the most potential. Obviously he was looking at age and ettiquette…. I don’t know if he was attracted to her or not, I know I wasn’t. However, the competition was about who was the best chef and NOT who had the most POTENTIAL!

I too have no more respect for him or the show for that matter. It is all a bunch of BS and quite frankly I am sick of his sewer mouth as well. Good luck to P…he deserved to win it.

  11. I liked P as well but I wouldn’t hire him for my restaurant. Look at all of Ramsays restaurants. CLEAN AND EMACULATE. P is no where near clean enough. You can’t teach someone to keep a clean kitchen. Ramsay can teach anyone to cook so I think Christina will do just fine. Teach a cook or dirty kitchen. I’ll take the less talented chef. And Robert I take it since you said that it came down to physical attraction over skill again? So rock from last year was Ramsays dreamy winner??? lol

  12. What attracted to her clearly you didn’t watch the show. Gordon stated in his last monologue he looks at longevity. Christina being a new chef out of school will learn much faster and be around a lot longer then a seasoned chef who may get burned out. P is a great chef and might have won had he won more of the individual challenges and just stayed true to his self. Running out of items during service uncalled for, thats just poor planning.

  13. Get over yourself Robert. Petrozza ran out of ingredients for two of his three appetizers, won only one challenge (Christina won nine), and there was no showing of physical attraction or anything else like that.

    Petrozza lost fair and square.

Ramsay made the right choice with Christina. The male chef always had a dirty station and dirty plates. He may have been a good cook, but he was a pig.

  15. I to think that ramsay made the right chose. idont knw any one who would want to eat out a kitchen ran by someone with such filth.

  16. I am disappointed that Christina won. She is still quite young, whereas, Petrozza, who didn’t always look dapper, was more grounded.

  17. Okay ~ this is crap…. Why is this whole convo on Chrisitna’s winning having to be justified..

She won fair and square. Anytime a young talented woman gets into a field and is a super acheiver or an accomplisher in her task she must be screwing someone.

GET OVER IT~ THERE ARE HOT & SEXY YET VERY INTELLGINET AND TALENTED WOMAN IN THE WORLD>

YOU DONT HAVE TO BE UNATRACCTIVE AND FOWL MOUTHED LIKE JEN TO BE TALENTED OR GREAT AT WHAT YOU DO..

  18. RAMSEY MADE THE WRONG CHOICE!!!!!HE JUST PICKED HER BECAUSE SHE WAS A GOOD LOOKING GIRL!!!!! I WILL NEVER WATCH THAT SHOW AGAIN!

  19. I think that Christina was the best out of the bunch. I rooted for her all the way. Besides she was much more creative in her dishes and Petrosa was great too. But hey someone had to win and someone had to lose. But lose not so fast. Petrosa will probably get on if not with one of Ramsey’s places look out America. He may be coming to a Mckee Dee’s near you soon! Oh and while we are at it. I think Jen needs to get someone like the Donald to front her some money and realestate in one of his casinos. Give her the run of the place and she can join him in leveraging her place along with him. GET IT? Her attitude needs some adjusting and what better way to learn but give her all the tools needed to fall on her face. Then when she picks herself up she will be awesome and no stopping her from being a world class chef……
That’s it for my two sense…. have a great day and a better one tomorrow.. Hope Ramsey gives us another great show next year with some new surprises to keep this thing alive….

  20. all i know is that jen was full of her self and all the food she ate out of the garbage that was the only thing she did well besides talking bull about how good of a chef she was which she wasnt at all i wouldnt let her cook corn out of a can for me.

  21. I watch all the shows except the very last one, I was going out of town while it was being aired. So Christina won. I have different feelings on this one because I liked them both. I wish they both could have won something. I just wish Ramsey and his guest would stop cussing. To me that shows their intelligence. My husband will not watch it because of how Ramsey treat the people. Susie

  22. I have lost all respect for this show! From now on I will only watch Top Chef! Petrosa was CLEARLY the real winner! He got screwed!
    Ramsey you Fat Cow!

  23. see i think they were both equally greatchef s but patrozo is older (he should have fun finding a job) it would be so easy for christina to get an awesome job

  24. This is a very late post, but I’ve been busy with “real life”.

I think that it is small-minded to believe that any chef of international stature would choose a key employee based upon anything but a belief in their abilities. I believe that Christina’s multiple team and individual challenge victories (judged by persons other than Ramsey, by the way) speak for themselves.

I believe also that, in some part, Ramsey’s tantrums are for shock value as well as attempts to see how individuals react to the pressure and distraction - to either steel themselves and focus, feed into the drama and lose composure or shut down completely.
To use cooking terms - heat reduces to the desired consistency.

One editorial comment on the posts I’ve read: While EVERYONE is entitled to their opinions, perhaps there should be a filter of some sort that does not allow posts by persons who cannot spell, use non-street English correctly or use proper grammar and punctuation.

  25. I think Christina definitely should have won the competition. She was much younger and most certainly had the fresher take on things. Petrozza was merely a fat old slob. Obviously he could not run a kitchen as well as Christina; he’s too husky and slow. Christina is very attractive and would be better for publicity and possibly having her own show some day. So screw all y’all’s gay ass opinions.
