Glamour magazine celebrated its 2008 Glamour Women of the Year on Tuesday, 3 June 2008 at Berkeley Square Gardens in London.

The magazine’s readers are invited to vote to determine who will win a coveted “Glammie.” The group Sugababes won the 2008 award for female band. Award prediction: Sugababes are the winners of the 2008 Glamour Women of the Year award for female band.

Also among the list of winners were Jamie Pressly, comedian, comedic actress, for her role in “My Name is Earl,” and tennis champion Maria Sharapova, athlete, ESPY Best International Female Athlete.

Glamour’s Women of the Year awards recognized the achievements of women throughout the world in a number of professional fields.
