Expo 2008 Review

Expo 2008 opened its doors 14 June 2008 and ran through 14 September 2008 in host city Zaragosa, Spain. Over 100 nations participated in the event.

Called “the Biggest Water Festival on Earth,” the event’s location in the Ranillas Meander, a bend of the Ebro River, reflected Expo’s official theme, “Water and Sustainable Development.”

The Bridge Pavillion, also the entrance to Expo 2008, featured an exhibition entitled, “Water, A Unique Resource.” A transparent skyscraper called the Water Tower housed an open exposition, “Water for Life.” These were two of the Expo’s most outstanding features.

The Expo’s mascot was Fluvi, a little drop of water.

Every day, the Expo featured a spectacular parade by the performers from Cirque de Soleil.

So it be? Maybe . . .
