The European Open was held at the London Golf Club in Kent, England from 3 July through 6 July 2008.

The last time England hosted the European Open was 1994. The par 72 course, over 7,250 yards long, was in perfect condition for the tournament, and Rose was a crowd favorite throughout the week.
