The championship match of UEFA’s Euro 2008 was held Sunday, 29 June 2008 at Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna, Austria.
The final game came down to a showdown between Germany and Spain. Coach Luis Aragones led the Spanish team to victory. Football prediction: Spain is the winner of UEFA Euro 2008
Spain last won a championship in June 1964 when they defeated the Soviet Union in a final match played in Madrid.
The 16 giant football boots in the Vienna Museum Quarter, painted in the national colors for each Euro 2008 team, were a must-see for many fans who travelled to Vienna for the final game.
