The first match of the England national team in 2008 was held today - Wednesday 6, February 2008.

This was the first official game managed by Fabio Capello, the new coach of the national football team of England.

The squad members of the 1966 team got world cup winners medal in am exciting moment before the game.

The game was pretty boring and had ended in a victory of England 2 - 1 , After  Shaun-Wright Phillips scored the winner in the match.

  1. Almost right, you got the score and the names wrong.
    CH wins 2-0 and that’s because the ref canceled 2 other goals because of victoria.

  2. Not quite, Switzerland won 3-0 - since any other result would be a shame against a team not even able to qualify for the soccer event 08…

    Actually, England win 3-1. Owen scores 1, Gerrard Sets one up and rooney scores 2.

    yesterday i tune at least every channel of the sattelite but the i didnt fine any related chanel to watch the friendly match,the english futball federation shud have their own futball channel.
