The Indian film, Dasavatharam, was released on 13 June 2008.

The much anticipated and highly touted film, which was directed by K. S. Ravikumar, featured actor Kamal Haasan in ten different roles, including the hero and the villain of the story. Film prediction: Dasavatharam was released on 13 June 2008.

The high-budget Dasavatharam was shot at locations in India, Malaysia and the United States. Insiders kept the film’s plot a secret until the opening.

Controversy surrounded the film’s opening, as two of the film’s female stars (Mallika Sherawat and Asim Thottumkal) appeared at public events in outfits considered by some to be culturally inappropriate.
