2016 Olympics Host Named

The International Olympics Committee (IOC) announced the winner in the competition to host the 2016 Olympics on 2 October 2009 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The IOC selected Rio de Janiero as the host city for the 2016 (summer) Olympics. Olympics prediction: Rio de Janiero will host the 2016 Olympic Games.
Four cities were named as finalists, including Tokyo, Madrid, and Chicago. After failing to make the cut in two previous bids, Rio de Janiero was chosen to host the international sports celebration.
The community could point to the facilities it provided for the Rio 2007 Pan American Games in support of its bid.
So it be? Maybe . . .
