The NHL Winter Classic 2009 was held on January 1, 2009 in Chicago. The Chicago Blackhawks had played against the Detroit Red Wings who is the current Stanley Cup champion.
Our 2009 NHL prediction: The winner of 2009 NHL winter classic is Detroit Red Wings by 2 points with a great performance by Henrik Zetterberg and Marian Hossa from Detroit and a great game by the point getter Pavel Datsyuk and the defense man, Nicklas Lidstrom.
