The 2008 World Figure Skating Championships were held in Gothenburg, Sweden between March 17 and March 23, 2008. This championship is considered the most important one of the International Skating Union championships.

The winner of the Men’s singles was the ice skater Stephane Lambiel from Switzerland, the winner of the ladies singles was Miki Ando the ice skater from Japan who had also won the gold medal last year, the winner pair was Pang Qing and Tong Jian from China who had taken the silver medal last year and the winner of the ice dancing were Tanith Belbin and Benjamin Agosto from the USA who had won the Bronze medal last year.
