2008 Washington DC Primary Results

Today, February 2nd 2008, the primary elections were held in Washigton DC.

There was no surprise for the Republicans as the leading candidate in was also selected in Washigton DC - John McCain, who had won the republican primaries with 60% of the votes.
Yet, in the democratic primary the race was far more tight. It seemed that the two leading candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama had both received almost 40% percents of the votes. After a second count, Barack Obama could celebrate his win in the capital.
