The Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, was host to the Wachovia Championship April 28 through May 4, 2008. The Pro-Am tournament kicked off the sold-out event; players teed off for the first round of championship play on Thursday, May 1, beginning at 7:00 a.m.

Alabama native Stewart Cink emerged victorious in the 2008 Wachovia Championship. The excellent field included Boo Weekley, Vijay Singh, Phil Mickelson, and Trevor Immelman. Golf prediction: Stewart Cink is the winner of the 2008 Wachovia Championship.

The PGA Tour returned to Quail Hollow in 2003. The course includes several holes designed by Arnold Palmer and by Tom Fazio, as well as four Par 5 holes.

The purse for the Wachovia Championship was $6,400,000. Proceeds from the tournament benefit Teach For America.
