The Ultimate Fight Championship UFC 88: Breakthrough was held Saturday, September 6 at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
The main event featured Chuck “The Iceman” Liddel and Rashad “Sugar” Evans. Heavily favored going into the bout, Liddel defeated Evans. Fight prediction: Chuck “The Iceman” Liddel is the winner of UFC 88: Breakthrough.
The light heavyweight match was a tough contest, but 38-year old Liddel established dominance early and never relinquished command. The win comes on the heels of his defeat of Wanderleigh Silva in UFC 79, and is one more step in The Iceman’s quest to regain the light heavyweight title.
