Defending welterweight champ Georges “Rush” St.-Pierre met Jon Fitch in a championship title bout; St-Pierre defeated Fitch and successfully defended his welterweight title. Fight prediction: Georges “Rush” St-Pierre is the winner of UFC 87.

The 27-year-old St.-Pierre, fighting out of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, improved his record to 17-2-0 with this victory.

Prior to Seek and Destroy, Fitch, a former wrestler from Purdue University, held the modern UFC’s longest unbeaten streak.
