The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s UFC 86 was held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, 5 July 2008.

Billed as “Jackson vs. Griffin,” UFC 86 pitted UFC light heavyweight champ Quinton “Rampage” Jackson against Forrest Griffin, winner of The Ultimate Fighter. Heavily favored Jackson was the winner of the bout. Fight prediction: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is the winner of UFC 86.

Jackson started his fighting career as a wrestler in high school. Fans of the sport became familiar with the 30-year old champ as he climbed to the top ranks of Japan’s PRIDE mixed martial arts organization.
