The person of the year for 2008 was declared today in the Time news magazine. After last year’s winner was the leader of Russia, Vladimir Putin, most predicted this year the future leader of the USA will win.

Our person of the year prediction: Barack Obama, the elected president is the person of the year for 2008. The first African American president in the most powerful nation had defeated his experienced rivals Hillary Clinton and John McCain. The Time magazine had noted other candidates like Douglas Melton, Michael Phelps and Hillary Clinton.
