The 2008 Oscar Ceremony took place on February 24, 2008 in Los Angeles, California.
The nominees for the best performance by an actress in a supporting role were Cate Blanchett for her role in the movie “I’m Not There”, Ruby Dee for her role in the movie “American Gangster”, for Saoirse Ronan for her role in the movie “Atonement”, Amy Ryan for her role in the movie “Gone Baby Gone” and Tilda Swinton for her role in the movie “Michael Clayton”.
The winner of the 80th academy awards for the best supporting actress was Cate Blanchett for her role in the movie “I’m Not There” in which she had played one of six versions of Bob Dylan.
