The All Star Slam Dunk Contest 2008 was held in February 25, 2008.

Dwight Howard, from the Orlando Magic was the favorite of most of NBA experts before the contest, but he had a bad day and performed the worse dunks of the four contestants.

Gerald green whohad won the last year NBA slam dunk contest and the rookie Jamario Moon were good but Rudy Gay was just outstanding. Any slam dunk Rudy Gay had tried was just perfect - a double clutch dunk, a off the backboard slam dunk and an amazing rock the cradle dunk.
