A general election was held in Malta on March 8, 2008.
Five political groups participated in the Maltese general elections for 2008 - Partit Nazzjonalista (PN), Alternattiva Demokratika (AD), Azzjoni Nazzjonali (AN), Malta Labour Party (MLP) and Imperium Europa (IE).
The winner party with 40% of the votes was Malta Labour Party (MLP).
