The 2008 Leggs Mason Tennis Classic tournament was held in Washington D.C., at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in Rock Creek Park from August 9 to August 17.

Spanish tennis player Feliciano Lopez was the winner of the tournament. Tennis prediction: Feliciano Lopez is the winner of the 2008 Leggs Mason Tennis Classic.

Many of the world’s top tennis players participated in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, and were unable to compete in the Leggs Mason Classic.

The open tournament is the brainchild of former Davis Cup team captain Donald Dell, whose inspiration introduced the prestigious event to the nation’s capital in 1969.
