The 2008 Formula 1 Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix was held from 10 through 12 October 2008 at the Fuji Speeedway near Mount Fuji in Japan.
Lewis Hamilton, driving for team McLaren, narrowly beat out Felipe Massa to take the checkered flag. Racing prediction: Lewis Hamilton is the winner of the 2008 Japanese Grand Prix.
Hamilton and Massa are very close in points as the Formula 1 season winds down.
The Fuji Speedway was originally planned as a NASCAR venue; it hosted Formula 1 racing for the first time in the 1970s, but accidents led Formula 1 to go elsewhere. The event returned to Fuji in 2007.
