General elections were held in Italy on April 14, 2008 after the former prime minister Prime Minister Romano Prodi had resigned a couple of months ago.
The winner of the 2008 general elections in Italy is Silvio Berlusconi who will be the next prime minister of Italy. Berlusconi is the leader of the party People of Freedom-Lega Nord-Movement for Autonomy and is also the owner of the football club of AC Milan.
