2008 Iran War Update

The world’s six leading powers expressed concerns about increasing hostilities with Iran as a result of its nuclear enrichment program during the summer of 2008.

Negotiators representing the six nations and Iran engaged in talks to resolve the tense situation. President Ahmadinejad of Iran warned that Iran was not concerned about good relations with the powers. He said on July 28, 2008 that his country was prepared to attempt to come to terms over issues he called “common ground.”

The United States, Great Britain, Russia, China, Germany and France warned Iran that a continuation of its enrichment program could result in sanctions against the nation. The United States did not rule out military action.

Iran continues to defend its right to expand its nuclear program.

So it be? Maybe . . .
