The 2008 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe was held on the urban curcuit in Valencia, Spain, on Sunday, 24 August 2008.
British driver Lewis Hamilton, driving for the McLaren team, took the checkered flag. Racing prediction: Lewis Hamilton is the winner of the 2008 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe.
The McLaren team has several first-place finishes this season.
A portion of Valencia’s urban circuit runs through the city’s newly-renovated marina district; the Juan Carlos I Marina was the site of the 32nd America’s Cup yachting race. Drivers completed 37 laps on the 3.38 mile street course.
