The 2008 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group Final tournament was held September 13 and 14, 2008 at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid in Spain.
Spain and Russia met in the final match, and Spain won before an enthusiastic hometown crowd. Tennis prediction: Spain is the winner of the 2008 Fed Cup World Group Final tournament.
Russia emerged from the Beijing Olympic competition as a heavy favorite to win the Fed Cup, and the result was a huge surprise for many tennis fans.
