2008 FA Cup Winner

The English Football Association Challenge Cup, more popularly known as the FA Cup, was held Saturday, 17 May 2008, at Wembley Stadium in Brent. The match began at 3:00 p.m.

Cardiff City squared off against Portsmouth in the match. Although Portsmouth was favored going into the match, Cardiff City emerged victorious. English football prediction: Cardiff City is the winner of the 2008 FA Cup.

Cardiff supporters sat at the West end of the stadium, Portsmouth supporters at the East end. This FA Cup marks the first time the two clubs have met for this prize.

The FA, representing English football, boasts the oldest cup tradition in European football, going back to the 1871-1872 season. This year, the FA Cup had 700 entries.
