The 2008 East Cape Offshore Deep-Sea Fishing Tournament was held Tuesday, July 29 through Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the Hotel Buena Vista Beach Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Competing deep-sea fishemen registered on Tuesday; the tournament got underway at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday with a shotgun start. Scales were open on the beach from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day of the tournament.

Prizes were awarded on the beach at 7:00 on Saturday evening. Winners in the various categories brought in over 1000 lbs. of blue marlin, dorado, and yellow fin tuna and took home more than $250,000 in prize money.
