2008 Democratic Vice Presidential Candidate Named

Presumptive Democratic Presidential candidate Barak Obama named his choice for running mate in the 2008 Presidential election.

Senator Obama considered a number of highly qualified candidates. He chose Kathleen Sebelius, governor of Kansas, as his vice presidential running mate. Presidential election prediction: Kathleen Sebelius is the 2008 Democratic vice presidential nominee.

Governor Sebelius was elected to her first term in the Kansas governor’s office in 2003 and reelected in 2006. She worked to strengthen her state’s economy and improve public education for Kansas students.

Sebelius is the daughter of former Governor John Gilligan of Ohio.
