2008 Davis Cup Semi-final Results

The 2008 semi-final round of the Davis Cup championship was held in Madrid, Spain from September 19 through 21 in the bullring at Las Ventanas.
Teams from Russia, Argentina, Spain and the United States met in the semi-final round. Team Spain and Team Russia advanced to the final round. Tennis prediction: Spain and Russia move on in the 2008 Davis Cup semi-finals.
American Dwight Davis started the event in 1900 as the International Lawn Tennis Challenge, a contest between tennis players from Harvard and Oxford. Davis designed the silver cup trophy himself. Today, the format of competition follows the pattern established by Davis.
