2008 Bhutan Elections Results

Bhutan held the first general elections ever on March 24, 2008.
Two parties presented candidates - Druk Phuensum Tshogpa (DPT) and All People’s Party. The elections will determines the distribution of the National Assembly of Bhutan.
The result of the 2008 Bhutanese general election was declared on March 25, 2008 after counting the votes. The winner of the Bhutan general elections was the All People’s Party who gained 65% of the votes. The All people’s party’s leader is the former prime minister Khandu Wangchuk.
