The 2008 Berlinale winners were announced on February 17, 2008.
The 2008 Berlin international film festival was a strong one and presented excellent movies like Bam gua Nat (Night and Day) by Hong Sangsoo from the Republic of Korea Israeli movie Restless by Amos Kolek.
All together, There were 21 films competing for the Golden Bear among them 18 world premieres.
The winner of the 2008 Berlin film festival is Avaze Gonjeshk-ha (The Song of Sparrows) - An Iranian movie by Majid Majidi.
