2008 Beijing Olympics Men’s Decathlon Results

The track and field events that make up the Olympics decathlon were held at Beijing’s National Stadium on 22 August and 23 August, 2008.

Qualifying rounds began earlier in the week. Brian Clay of the United States was the gold medal winner. Olympics decathlon prediction: Brian Clay is the winner of the 2008 Olympics Men’s Decathlon.

Joining Clay on the podium were Roman Sebrle of the Czech Republic, who took silver, and Trey Hardee, also of the United States, who won the bronze medal.

The Olympics decathlon consists of ten different track and field events; in modern competition, the event is held over two days. Athletes demonstrate speed and power during Day 1’s events and exhibit endurance during Day 2.
